CCT SKID STEER & LOADER Operator Course

Course Objective:

This Skid Steer/Loader safety training program is designed to meet the needs of the Skid Steer & Front End Loader operators, regardless of brand. This course is ideal for all operators as it is designed to reinforce the importance of proper safety and handling techniques. Exceeds the standards for loader operations.

The course focus is on these requirements:

·  General Skid Steer/Loader fundamentals & capabilities

·  Principals of stability, balance and capacity

·  The pre-operation inspection

·  Safety guidelines for operating

·  Safe load handling techniques

·  How weight distribution affects skid-steer loader stability and steering.

• Understand the difference between Tipping Load and Rated Operating Capacity
• Understanding of the Loader reactions when using the hydrostatic transmission
• Important factors of maintenance for safe, efficient, and productive operation
• Identify the controls and their functions
• Identify the loaders safety features and their importance
• Explain the safe entry and exit of the loader
• Explain procedures for changing attachments
• Know the fundamentals of safe and efficient maneuvering & working with the attachments

ALL OPERATORS MUST SHOW COMPETENCY IN ALL THESE REQUIREMENTS.

This comprehensive program includes classroom training on the theory of Skid Steer/Loader operation and safety issues, Hands on Operation & Practical Evaluation is based on participants ability to demonstrate:

1. Daily inspection procedure.

2. Site inspection for hazards.

3. Demonstration of safe operation of the machine.

4. Completion of an Exam on all aspects of the operation of the equipment as well as the regulations relating to the safe operation of the equipment is required.

OPERATOR CERTIFICATIONS ARE VALID FOR 3 YEARS
